Workington Town will travel to Swinton Lions in tomorrow's Championship decider with the bare 13 players.

Coach Leon Pryce says he will not risk players with injuries in the do-or-die clash.

And they are down to the bare bones due to holidays, bans and injuries.

"I am looking at 13 fit bodies to go to Swinton," said Pryce. "I won't put any player's health at risk by putting them on the bench or risk them being injured further.

"We have to have a duty of care to these lads so we will go with a 13-man squad, possibly 14 if we are lucky and there is nothing more we can do."

Town did appeal to the RFL asking for special dispensation to bring in more players for this game, with a place in next season's Championship at stake for the winners. But this was turned down.

And Workington will also be without powerhouse prop Fuifui Moimoi who was handed a further one-match ban at an RFL disciplinary hearing.

Workington were appealing for a verdict of sending off sufficient hoping that Moimoi would be available for tomorrow's trip to Swinton.

Skipper Ollie Wilkes was the latest casualty, going down in last weekend's clash with Bradford and he won't play any part tomorrow, with hooker Sean Penkywicz rated as 50/50.

So if Workington want to win, they are going to have to roll up their sleeves and do it the hard way.

"This is going to be a very tough game and even tougher now but we just have to get on with it," said Pryce.

"And if we manage to win and go up, we will certainly be having a party.

"We can't moan about it we just have to get on. That's life and that's rugby league.

"We just have to try and move forward and give it our best shot. It is disappointing after getting to where we are and having this game thrown in at such a late stage.

"We can't bring any players in and it is going to be tough because of the amount of injuries we have but it is what it is and let's get on with it."
