Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens in September and new host Emma Willis has shared one element that she thinks will be “difficult” as she takes up the joint presenting role.
Along with comedian Josh Widdicombe and Strictly’s professional dancer Johannes Radebe, she will replace Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly as hosts of the BBC show.
The new hosts were announced after months of speculation following Winkleman and Daly announcing their departure before the end of last year’s series.
Emma Willis says one element of Strictly is going to be ‘difficult’
At the end of the BBC show, the presenters would always stand together, hold hands and lean in the direction of the camera, saying the famous Strictly phrase “keep dancing”.
However, Willis has shared how that could be a bit tricky with three hosts, instead of the usual two.
She said on Magic FM: “That is difficult with three, right?”, adding that it was something they were talking about ahead of its return.
Willis shared that things are up in the air ahead of the 2026 series: “At the minute we're having loads of like production days and we're playing with kind of who's with who and where do we go and how does it work?
“But I imagine we'll need to have something.”
