Domino's has launched an ice cream inspired by its famous garlic and herb dipping sauce.
The wacky combination is made by hand-stirring the savoury dip into locally sourced dairy ingredients from Devon.
Customers can even have their cone served with a drizzle of the dip itself.
To put the flavour to the ultimate test, the pizza brand served up the treat on the Brighton seafront to see whether beachgoers would swap their usual scoop for the sweet-and-savoury treat.
Sunseeker, Chiandra Mistry, was not a fan, she said: “Oh no, it’s got garlic taste in it.
“You know who would love this? My daughter. I love to tell her she likes garlic.”
A spokesperson for Domino’s said: “Our dip has become a bit of an icon in its own right, with customers finding all sorts of creative ways to enjoy it over the years.
“This summer, we thought we’d go one scoop further and take it somewhere completely unexpected.”
The invention is the latest from the pizza producers, which previously crafted a garlic and herb flavoured chocolate egg, infused with the flavours of the famous dip, created by those at the pizza maker's HQ.
As well as the ‘Shirtiette’ - shirts made entirely from serviette material so fans didn't have to worry about getting messy during matchdays across the summer.
And a Pepperoni Passion inspired perfume, which was release ahead of Valentines Day last year.
In the wake of the latest heatwaves sweeping the UK this summer, Domino’s is giving people the chance to win their own tub of the contentious creation to try and help the nation beat the heat.
This comes as both May and June saw record-breaking temperatures, with May hitting 35.1°C, surpassing the previous record of 32.8°C set back in 1922.
On 26th June, temperatures reached highs of 37.7°C, overtaking the previous June record of 35.6°C set in 1957 and 1976, with the Met Office predicting another potential heatwave hitting in late August.
While some die-hard garlic and herb fans were also sent the ice cream to try at home, @cissyjones commented on social media, saying she “thought this might be an April Fools prank, but it’s not April” and was surprised as it “actually lasts like garlic... oh guys it is! It smells like garlic.”
Fans on social media had split opinion about the treat with some like @lydiagracexoxo commenting “Gorgeous I will defo have to try”, while another creator who got to try the ice cream @emiiyjade admitted “I’m really not sure about this…”
