The high street bakery has become a staple place to go for a quick snack, a sweet treat or to grab your lunch.
Famous for its wide selection of bakery items at the counter and hot food or sandwiches in fridges, Greggs is arguably a national treasure.
Serving up everything from the iconic sausage roll, a selection of bakes, doughnuts, cookies, cakes and more, Greggs has something for everyone.
But, with so much to choose from, it begs the question, are all the products any good?
Well, I took it upon myself to answer that tough question and bought every (yes, every) item from the bakery counter at the front of Greggs.
From the sausage roll to the Belgian bun, this is the ultimate ranking of every Greggs bakery item.

Before we get into it, I feel I have to say that while I wish I did, I did not eat it all by myself; if I did, I probably would still be eating everything now as I write.
I should also admit that I wasn’t able to get every item, like the pizza slices, but I promise I hunted for them to no avail.
Triple Chocolate Doughnut - £1.65
On the looks, I had high hopes for the triple chocolate doughnut, but that was the only good part about it.
I found the chocolate taste odd, and it didn’t have much flavouring, and the cream inside the doughnut was almost like marshmallow.

Glazed Ring Doughnut - £1.35
I love a glazed doughnut, but I was not a fan of this one; it left an odd aftertaste, and it was a bit soggy, which ruined the sugar.

Sausage, Bean, and Cheese Bake - £2.65
This was not for me. I know some love it, but I’m not one of those people.
I found it chewy and just too much in one bake; the sausages were not very flavourful, and I did not like the taste of the beans.

Pink Jammie Doughnut - £1.65
This didn’t wow me; it was just fine. I liked the jam, but I felt the icing wasn’t needed and could’ve been better.

Triple Chocolate Cookie - £1.60
This was the only cookie I did not like, it was very dry, and it felt heavy, as if it had too many ingredients in it.
It still had the nice texture of being both soft and chewy, but not enough to save it.

Belgian Bun - £1.70
I know Belgian Buns aren’t for everyone, and that includes me; they just lack what makes a good sweet treat.
The icing was nice, but everything else about it just felt mild, and the taste was subpar.

Star Biscuit - £1.65
The star biscuit is a classic treat, it looks sweet and tastes okay, it wasn’t particularly sweet, but the chocolate was nice which brought it up a score.

Corned Beef Bake - £2.60
Another first for me, this was okay, it didn’t wow me, but it also didn’t disgust me.
The filling reminded me of a classic Cornish pasty style, and it had flavour, but not enough for me to buy again.

Caramel Custard Doughnut - £1.65
I was a bit disappointed by this doughnut; despite being caramel, it lacked the caramel flavour and was overpowered by the custard.
However, the custard had a nice, sweet vanilla taste, and the dough was good; I just wish there was more caramel.

Sugar Strand Doughnut - £1.55
Gregg’s sugar strand doughnut was just okay; it was nice, and the sprinkles and icing were nice, but it was nothing more.

Cheese and Onion Bake - £2.55
This was my first cheese and onion bake, and I liked it, the cheese was nice and its balance with the onions was perfect.
Unlike some cheese and onion options on the market, the Greggs bake didn’t leave you with an odd aftertaste.

Red Pepper, Feta & Spinach Bake - £2.65
This bake was a special, but I think it should be added to the permanent menu, it had lots of flavour and a bit of spice that built up but wasn’t overpowering.
The feta helped balance out the spice, and the whole bake was just nice, and I would buy it again.

White Chocolate Cookie - £1.60
Another great cookie from Greggs, the chocolate was really tasty, and the cookie was once again soft and chewy. I love it.

Vegan Sausage Roll - £1.65
This was my first time trying the vegan sausage roll, and I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted great and was so like the classic meat alternative.
The pastry was quite flaky but nice and not greasy. It’s a great substitute for a classic.

Greggs has a good reputation for their cookies, and it’s clear why. The cookie was nice, soft and crunchy at the same time, but without being chewy.

I think Greggs may have made the perfect triple chocolate muffin.
It was soft, the chocolate was great, and there was plenty of it, and the sauce is to die for. The ultimate muffin.

Novelty Cake - £1.35
Greggs know how to do cakes, this was fantastic. The cake was fluffy and soft, with nice icing, and can only be described as exactly how a nan would make a cake. It was gorgeous.

You can’t beat a classic. This was great, the taste was lovely, the jam was perfect, and it’s just what you want a jam doughnut to be.

Steak Bake - £2.65
I love a steak bake; the gravy is so good, and the ratio between the amount of steak to gravy is exactly what you want.
It’s like enjoying a great steak pie, but pocket-sized, and it is my personal go-to for a winter warmer snack.

Chicken bakes are another classic, the filling is nice and creamy, and the chicken chunks are the perfect size. It just makes a great treat.

Sausage Roll - £1.65
The Greggs sausage roll is the ultimate classic, it’s the first thing you think of when you think of Greggs.
Often described as the best thing you can buy from the bakery, I find it hard to disagree; it’s just exactly what you want a sausage roll to be.
The pastry is great, not too flaky or greasy, and the meat is tasty, and they balance each other to make the perfect treat.
