A man has been charged after police seized almost £600,000 worth of heroin during a search of a property in Edinburgh.
Officers acting on intelligence discovered 5.8kg of the drug at an address in Magdalene Gardens on Thursday.
Police said the heroin had a potential street value of £580,000.
They also seized £7,000 in cash from the property.
A second home, in Northfield, Tranent, East Lothian, was then searched, where £200 worth of cannabis was recovered.
Police said a 36-year-old man has been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act
He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
