The key concerns for residents in Millom have been picked up by the county's Crime Commissioner after a meeting in the town.
David Allen - Cumbria's Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner - hosted a public surgery at Millom Library on August 27.
There, he was told that incidents of anti-social behaviour (ASB) were towards the top of the list of ongoing issues for locals.
Mr Allen said: "What I would stress is please report it, don't just put it on Facebook, call the police on 101 or, if it's an emergency, 999 - that way the police know about it and they can do something about it.
"Speeding, issues around loud motor cars and their exhausts, all of that's going to be picked up by the police and there will be some action.
"That's why I do these surgeries - you raise issues, I pass them on to the police, and ask them to look and deal with them.
