Cumberland Council has announced plans to close a section of Schoolhouse Lane, Whitehaven, for utility work.
The affected stretch is set to be from its junction with Scotch Street, extending for approximately 20 metres in a north-westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to begin on September 7, and is anticipated to be needed for three days.
The closure is set to be in effect from 8am to 6pm each day.
Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will still have access, while vehicles will be redirected via the unrestricted section of Schoolhouse Lane, Queen Street, Lowther Street, Church Street, Duke Street, and Scotch Street.
The council advises that the closure will only happen when appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
