Hundreds of classic cars will fill the grounds of Dalemain this month.
The Cumbria Classic and Motorsport Show, organised by Wigton Motor Club, returns on August 23, promising a showcase of motoring history and motorsport action.
850 cars will be on display in the fields surrounding the stately home near Penrith.
Wigton Motor Club has run the event since 1989.
This year’s show will feature 42 car clubs and 40 trade stands, with special displays celebrating Bentley and Lotus.
There will be a special display from the Jim Clark Trust showcasing a Lotus 22, the type raced by the late Formula One legend.
The club’s own stand will include around 20 competition cars, and visitors can learn about ‘Street Car’, a Motor Sport UK programme designed to help people get started in motorsport using a standard road car.
As part of the scheme, attendees can claim a free MSUK competition licence and get Wigton Motor Club membership until the end of 2027 for just £20.
The ever-popular grass autotests will take place during the day.
Admission is £10, with free entry for children under 16.
Both card and cash payments will be accepted on the day.
