Major rescue after paddleboarders reported missing at Derwentwater

A MULTI-agency rescue operation was launched on Derwentwater after two paddleboarders were reported missing.

The incident occurred today, Monday, August 3, in Keswick.

Cumbria Constabulary received a call at 2.34pm, prompting a response involving police, fire crews, ambulance service, HM Coastguard and mountain rescue teams.

Both individuals have since been located and are safe and well.
