A glimpse into industrial history is being offered through a special mining heritage tour.
The one-hour event will take place on Saturday, September 5 at noon.
It's being held at the Florence Arts Centre in Egremont, located at the site of the former Florence Mine, the last working deep iron ore site in Western Europe and one of the last visible remains of the once huge iron industry in West Cumbria.
A spokesperson for Florence Arts Centre said: "Find out about the last working deep iron ore site in Western Europe and one of the last visible remains of the once huge iron industry in West Cumbria.
"Starting from Florence Arts Centre (the old shower block of the mine) our volunteers will tell you about the site as you tour the outside of the buildings."
Public access is usually restricted, and the tour does not include entry into the buildings or the mine itself.
Attendees are advised to wear sensible footwear and bring a raincoat.
Tickets cost £6 and can be purchased through the Florence Arts Centre website.
