Cumberland Council is set to enforce a temporary closure of U4354 Station Road, Whitehaven, from its junction with Corkickle Railway Station, for about 40 metres northbound.
The planned closure is set to affect all traffic, including vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, while utility work is carried out.
An alternative route will be available via Coach Road and The Gardens.
The restriction is set to begin on August 5 and is expected to last three days.
Cumberland Council stated the scheduled closure is to allow utility work to be completed safely.
Motorists are advised to follow the signed alternative route.
