The Met Office has forecast a wet weekend for Whitehaven, with rain expected throughout.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with scattered light showers, particularly in the morning and midday.
Temperatures will range from 15C to 19C, feeling cooler along the coast due to light to moderate onshore winds.
The chance of rain will be between 40 and 60 per cent.
The afternoon will see fewer showers, with the risk of rain dropping to around 30 to 40 per cent.
The evening will remain mostly cloudy, with a low to moderate shower risk of around 30 to 40 per cent.
Temperatures will ease back to the mid-teens.
Sunday will see similar temperatures to Saturday, generally between 16C and 18C, but it will feel cooler and more unsettled due to fresher winds.
Rain will become more persistent from late morning, with many hours showing a 60 to 80 per cent chance of precipitation.
The morning will start off cloudy with an increasing shower risk, starting low at 10 to 30 per cent at dawn and rising towards 50 to 60 per cent by late morning.
The afternoon will be the wettest part of the day, with many forecasts showing 60 to 80 per cent rain chances.
The evening will remain mostly cloudy with occasional rain or drizzle.
The chance of rain will slowly ease towards 40 to 50 per cent, but it will stay damp and breezy.
