The Met Office has forecast a mix of cloud and rain for Whitehaven this weekend.
Saturday, July 4, will be overcast throughout the day, with temperatures ranging from 15C to 19C.
The morning will be cloudy, with a 20 to 30 per cent chance of rain.
In the afternoon, temperatures will rise to around 18C to 19C, with the chance of rain remaining fairly low at 20 to 40 per cent.
By the evening, temperatures will ease back to 17C to 18C, while the chance of showers increases to 40 to 50 per cent.
Winds will be from the west-southwest at 10 to 14 mph.
Sunday, July 5, will begin with light rain, becoming overcast by late morning.
Temperatures will again reach a high of 19C with a low of 15C.
The morning has the highest chance of rain, around 50 to 60 per cent, with temperatures of 15C to 16C.
Through the afternoon, the rain is expected to clear, leaving mostly cloudy skies with temperatures of 17C to 18C and a 30 to 40 per cent chance of showers.
Evening conditions will remain cloudy with temperatures around 17C to 18C and a 30 to 40 per cent chance of showers.
Winds will be west-southwest to southwest at 9 to 13 mph.
Overall, Saturday is expected to stay dry for longer, with the greatest chance of rain not arriving until later in the afternoon and evening.
Sunday is likely to be wet at the start of the day before improving.
