Cumberland Council has announced a planned road closure for utility works in West Cumbria.

The U4037 in the village of Coulderton is due to be shut between its junction with the B5345, extending south-west for about 620m.

This closure is set to start on June 3 and is expected to last two days, in effect from 8.30am to 4.30pm each day.

Officials say pedestrian and dismounted cyclist access will remain open, with an alternative route for vehicles signed.

The planned diversion will guide vehicles via the unrestricted section of the U4037, C4021, and B5345.

For queries, contact the Highways Hotline at 0300 373 3736 or visit the Cumberland Council website, quoting reference TTROC/18272.
