Sea-themed art sessions will take place this May half-term to inspire children to protect the ocean and raise awareness of plastic pollution.

The 'Ocean Art Adventure' workshops are part of The Beacon Museum's Beakid programme and will be held on May 25, 27, and 29 at 11am and 1pm in Whitehaven.

Each one-hour session includes the chance to create driftwood fish mobiles, clay fish fridge magnets, and contribute to a collaborative sea-themed art display.

The Beacon Museum said: "Beakid is The Beacon Museum’s creative, hands-on monthly activity programme for children of all ages."

"Join us this May for a fun and creative hands-on session exploring the impact of plastic pollution and how we can protect our seas."

The Beakid programme offers monthly sessions designed to spark curiosity and connect children with heritage, science, and creative themes.

Admission is £5 per person.
