A road in the West Cumbrian village of Calder Bridge is due to be closed for two days next week due to planned utility works.

Cumberland Council has announced that the C4013 is scheduled to be closed from its junction with the A595 for around 200m in a south-westerly direction.

The closure is expected to be required for two days from Monday, May 11, between 9am and 5pm each day.

Officials say pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will still be able to use the route.

Under the plans, drivers will be directed to a diversion that takes them along the unrestricted section of the C4013, U4044, C4037, and A595.

For more information, contact the Highways Hotline on 0300 373 3736, quoting reference TTRO/C1/7892, or visit the Cumberland Council website.
