A chess club is making all the right moves by bringing together players of every age and ability.
The Intergenerational Chess Club meets fortnightly on Mondays at Whitehaven Library, offering a friendly space for anyone aged eight and above to enjoy a game of chess in good company.
Organisers of the fortnightly event say, "Come join our Intergenerational Chess Club where people of all ages can come together, play chess, and learn from each other!"
The free club welcomes everyone aged eight and up, from seasoned players to complete beginners.
All chess boards and pieces are provided.
The next session will be held on Monday, April 27, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
Whitehaven Library host the recurring event, which offers the chance for chess enthusiasts to connect and share their passion for the game.
Whitehaven Library is located on Lowther Street.
