Auction House Cumbria’s auction on Thursday, April 9, at The Halston, Carlisle, delivered another excellent result, raising over £3 million and achieving an outstanding 97 per cent success rate.

Strong attendance in the room, combined with competitive online bidding, created a fast-paced and energetic auction. Many properties exceeded their guide prices, underlining continued demand across Cumbria for residential, commercial and redevelopment opportunities.

Standout sales

  • 26 Margate Street, Walney – sold £41,000 above guide
  • Row Cottage, Wellington – sold £82,000 over guide
  • Oakwood, Gretna Loaning – sold £110,000 above guide
  • Nixontown, Bewcastle – sold £65,000 over guide

These results highlight the effectiveness of competitive bidding, realistic pricing, and the speed and certainty that auctions provide.

Next auction: Thursday, May 21
