A taste of the wild is coming to the woods this spring.
A free guided foraging session will take place on Tuesday, April 14 at Walkmill Community Woodland in Moresby, running from 11am to 1pm and open to adults aged 18 and over.
The event is led by Wild Food UK, who aim to educate people about edible wild plants, mushrooms, fruits, roots and flowers and how to identify them safely.
Booking is essential for those interested in joining the session, and anyone attending is advised to wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear.
No experience is necessary to join, and all tools and materials will be provided.
West Cumbria Rivers Trust is an environmental charity which is dedicated to restoring, protecting, and improving lakes and rivers across the region for the wildlife and people living around them.
Anyone with questions about the event is encouraged to email jenny@westcumbriariverstrust.org.
