Families are invited to enjoy a pair of free, hands-on events this Easter holidays.

Hosted by West Cumbria Rivers Trust, the events are set to offer a mix of nature-based activities, crafts, and outdoor exploration.

The first event will take place at Longlands Lake in Egremont on Thursday, April 9, from 11am to 2pm, and will include river dipping, an orienteering trail with edible prizes, and wildflower planting.

Families are advised to book online if they would like to take part in the river dipping activity.

The second event will be held at Walkmill Community Woodland in Moresby Park on Friday, April 10, from 1pm to 3pm.

Activities will include an egg hunt, willow weaving, crafts, hedgehog hotel building, and planting.

No booking is required for this event.

Families are advised for both events to wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear for the outdoor conditions, and they note that  children must be supervised at all times.
