A new adventure film festival is coming to Whitehaven next month.
The inaugural Coast & Trails Festival will take place at Rosehill Theatre on Sunday, March 8, and will feature a programme of adventure films and guest speakers.
The festival aims to highlight the natural beauty and outdoor culture of Cumbria through film, and personal experiences.
Organisers said: "West Cumbria has some of the most beautiful trails and coastline in the UK.
"We want to inspire more people to explore them, while bringing the excitement of global adventure films to a local audience."
The event will showcase a selection of films from the London Mountain Film Festival, including Due North CIC’s own film Tahira, produced by Summit Fever Media.
Additional titles on the programme include Fifty-Fifty, Skate Like a Lass, Swim Sistas, Mollo – The Art Of Holding On, Hughsey’s Tri-Nation Triathlon, and Anti Pollution Pirates.
The evening will also feature talks from outdoor educators, trail runners, and environmental advocates from the region.
Tickets are priced at £15 each, and early booking is advised due to limited availability.
The film and talk segment of the festival will run from 5pm to 8.30pm.
