THESE pictures show the extent of the damage caused by the recent landslip at St Bees.
West Cumbrian man David Sloan took these images of the landslip after he walked from St Bees Head to Whitehaven this week.
The collapse took place in the vicinity of the old swimming pool at St Bees on December 16.
In the social media post, Mr Sloan said: "Went hiking today over St Bees Head to Whitehaven.
"We just missed the landslide that had just occurred, which was very close to the path. It was cordoned off immediately after, but lovely day."
The Whitehaven Coastguard team described the collapse as 'significant'.
After the collapse, no persons or dogs were unaccounted for; however, areas of the public pathway have been reduced to a narrow width.
The coastguard has placed temporary signage and tape, alongside the permanent warning signage in the area, and the local authorities have been informed.
Another landslip occurred further along the coast at Fleswick Bay on December 17.
