Police have said they are investigating reports of mud being thrown at cars from Castle Park, Whitehaven.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 23.
This resulted in an innocent person being hit in the face with mud, causing him to fall from his bike.
Officers are obtaining CCTV from the park and the surrounding area, intending to prosecute those responsible for assault.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "It's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured."
