ONE of the biggest names in UK comedy is heading to Whitehaven later this year.
James Acaster will bring a special work-in-progress show to the Rosehill Theatre on Monday, December 8.
The show, which is one hour long, will see the award-winning comic test fresh material and ‘try new ideas for a bit’.
Rosehill Theatre offered early access tickets for anyone who booked a comedy event at the venue this year, as a ‘small thank you to everyone who has supported live comedy at Rosehill’.

The early link went live this morning, ahead of the general sale tomorrow (Thursday, August 21) at 10 am.
Acaster is renowned for his whimsical, inventive style of comedy. His TV appearances include Taskmaster, Hypothetical and the Big Fat Quiz of the Year, alongside a number of acclaimed Netflix specials.
He also co-hosts the hugely popular Off Menu podcast with fellow comedian Ed Gamble.
Tickets are priced at £12.50 (plus fees).
James Acaster also announced a work-in-progress show for the Old Fire Station in Carlisle on Tuesday, December 9.
