St Bees Road closed following crash between car and tractor

UPDATE: The road was reopened at around 12:45 pm.

A ROAD has been closed in West Cumbria following a crash between a car and a tractor this morning (Tuesday, August 19).

The incident happened at the junction of St Bees Road and William Pit Road, near St Bees.

Cumbria Police confirmed the closure and urged motorists to avoid the area while recovery work takes place.

A spokesperson said: “Please avoid the area if possible whilst vehicle recoveries take place.”
