A DRUGS raid has been carried out by police in Whitehaven,
Officers searched a property in Whitehaven today, Thursday, August 7.
The neighbourhood policing team was assisted with the warrant alongside the Dog Section and South Task Force.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "As a result of recent intelligence received, this morning officers from Copeland Neighbourhood Policing Team alongside our Dog Section and South Task Force colleagues have executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address in Whitehaven."
The police went on to comment on the impact drug use can have on communities.
Officers say that they intend to 'stamp out' such behaviour.
The post continued: "Drug use/activity has a serious impact within our communities and we strive to take positive action to stamp out and disrupt such behaviour."
