A jazz night is set to raise funds for the mental health charity Mind.

'Jazz for Joy' will take place at Whitehaven Golf Club on Friday, August 29.

Attendees can look forward to a night of easy listening as artists Suzey & the Jazz Cats and Geneva take the stage.

The Cumbria-based live jazz band, Suzey & the Jazz Cats, is known for their renditions of classic jazz standards and promises a captivating performance.

They will be joined by Geneva, a vocalist and guitarist, known for her soulful renditions of popular jazz and easy-listening tunes.

An entry fee of £8 is suggested, which can be paid via cash in an 'honesty box' on the evening; all proceeds will go to Mind.

Alternatively, donations can be made online.

A spokesperson said: "Whether you’re a lifelong jazz lover or simply looking for a fabulous night out, this event is not to be missed."

The event will start at 7.30pm.
