A church has become awash with sunflowers in memory of loved ones.
A 'Sea of Sunflowers' display has opened at St Bees Priory, covering the grounds with handcrafted ironwork sunflowers.
The display, which will run until August 17, has been organised by hospice charity, Hospice at Home West Cumbria.
The charity aims to use the event to raise awareness about its palliative and end-of-life services within the community.
Holly Harkness, community fundraising coordinator, said: "We are so excited to open our Sea of Sunflowers display to the public, and share this special event with supporters old and new.
"We hope you will be able to join us, whether we have been there for a loved one and you hope to find comfort in the bright display, or whether you are visiting for a family day out by the sea.
"We chose the sunflower because it is the universal symbol of hospice care, representing light, loyalty, and love."
Sunflower artworks created by pupils from St Bees Village School will also be exhibited within the priory.
The charity has expressed gratitude towards the children for their involvement in the event.
Supporters of the cause are encouraged to purchase the ironwork sunflowers once the event concludes, dedicating them in memory of a loved one.
Dedications can be made via the charity’s website, retail shops in Workington and Cockermouth, or their Therapy and Information Centre in Workington.
Once the display ends, supporters can keep their purchased sunflower as a memento.
Hospice at Home West Cumbria provides high-quality care and support to patients and their families in West Cumbria during difficult times.
All funds raised from the event will aid in their provision of care.
Ms Harkness added: "Our display is open to all and we welcome you to come along and enjoy the beautiful setting, which will allow people to find out more about what we do, and provide a special opportunity to support our cause and help us continue to make a difference."
