An artist's exhibition displaying beautiful landscape photographs and paintings will be on show all month.
At the Lowes Court Gallery in Egremont, Gareth Harrison, of Seascale, will be the featured artist for August.
He will exhibit a range of landscape photographs alongside recent artworks of the Western Fells and valleys.
The photographs have been specially selected by the artist for their 'carefully considered and firm sense of light and composition, reflecting both the time of day and the turning of the seasons.'
Mr Harrison said: "You never cease to learn about light – there are so many variables out there.
"It is often said that Cornwall has a certain quality of light, but I think that our Western fells have something even more special.
"Especially in my paintings now, I am trying to capture more of the transient effects in oils and acrylic, which often means quick, bold work with large brushes – all of which demands a certain amount of courage."
Alongside being a regular exhibitor and supporter at Lowes Court, Mr Harrison is a founder member of the Art in Irton Group at Santon Bridge.
The feature wall will be available for viewing until August 30, with Mr Harrison available for a 'Meet the Artist' session on August 9 between 10.30 am and 1 pm.
The gallery, located on Main Street, Egremont, houses a variety of arts and crafts and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 1.30 pm.
