A REPLICA helicopter is being pushed across the county from Drigg to Langwathby.
Drigg Young Farmers have organised the charity event to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance.
The journey began on the morning of Saturday, July 19, which saw the helicopter pass through part of West Cumbria.
As it came into Whitehaven, crowds gathered on the streets to show their support.
The town crier was also in attendance, welcoming the fundraisers and showing community support for the event.
The fundraisers will be pulling the helicopter through most of Cumbria before ending the journey at Langwathby on Sunday, July 20.
Sarah Fawcett, an advisory member for Drigg Young Farmers, said: "We've organised a charity helicopter push to try to raise money for the air ambulance.
"We just want to try to raise as much as possible, as we've got members and friends, and family who have used the air ambulance at some point.
"We're aware of how much it costs and have much it relies on voluntary donations.
"We can't believe the support from all those who have come out today, it's really helping us and lifting everyone's spirits.
"We're looking forward to continuing the challenge."
As of today, Tuesday, July 22, the event has raised over £30,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance.
More money is expected to be raised as the event continues.
Deanne Shallcross, the CEO of Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, said: "It's just another exciting event that comes through the town and onto the harbour.
"It's always really good to support things like this, help support charity, and bring more people into the town to see what Whitehaven offers.
"It's a good thing for the charity and fundraisers, helping to open people's eyes and bringing different crowds into our town to see Whitehaven in a different light."
The town crier, Marc Goodwin, added: "It makes me feel really proud and excited, we've got a brilliant community and lots of great things are happening, such as the event today.
"People are getting out and caring for each other, raising funds for great causes."
