THE replica galleon currently in Whitehaven harbour is to stay an extra few days.
The majestic Galeón Andalucia, a replica of a Spanish galleon, has been attracting big crowds and was set to remain in the Cumbria coastal town's harbour until Sunday evening.
But Gerard Richardson, who has helped organise the visit, said on social media that the ship will now depart at around 4pm on Wednesday.
"She is open to the public on Tuesday as well until 8pm," he wrote.
Tickets to see the ship on Monday and Tuesday are now currently only available on the Quayside.

"Given the 4pm departure [on Wednesday], we expect there may be a big turnout so please bear in mind that a small working area will be taped off adjacent to the ship from about noon on Wednesday," he added.
"That area needs to be kept clear for the ships crew and marina team.
"This visit has been quite remarkable for the town and it would be lovely if as many of you as possible could come along on Wednesday to help make here departure something the crew will remember fondly for years to come."
