Teenage girl arrested after two-vehicle crash near Parton

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent, dangerous driving and a bladed article offence.

Police received a report of a crash on the A595 near Parton on Sunday, July 6 at 8:59pm.

It involved two cars, but no serious injuries were reported.

The driver of one of the cars, the 15-year-old girl, was arrested.

She has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The road was closed while the vehicle recovery took place and reopened at 10:30pm, police say.
