A true crime talk is coming to a theatre.
Research psychologist and psychopathy expert Cheish Merryweather, as seen on the BBC, will be coming to Whitehaven in November, as part of a tour of the UK, with her 'Murder: Staged' show.
The live event at Rosehill Theatre will take place on November 16 and promises to uncover the phenomenon of staged murders.
It will delve into the 'CSI effect' and how it has given rise to a new type of forensically-aware killer, intent on misleading investigations.
Ms Merryweather said: "The 'CSI effect' has created a new type of killer – one that is forensically aware and is out to mislead an investigation.
"'Murder: Staged' will explore the lies embedded in crime scenes and share the expertise from those who dig deep for the truth."
The two-hour talk will include in-depth forensics, reconstructed real-life crime scene walkthroughs, and a deep dive into previously unseen cases.
Ms Merryweather said: "There will also be a live psychopath test which will be a good indication of who we really should be keeping a close eye on."
Tickets are available online.
