A WHITEHAVEN business has announced it will take over another cafe later this year.
Silly Goose, which is based on Duke Street, will be taking over The Rum Story Cafe from September.
The venue has been a popular business in Whitehaven's town centre for several years and they say they are 'thrilled' to be expanding their business.
Back in January, staff at The Rum Story Cafe announced that the venue would be closing at the end of February.
Jason Roper, who had been running the cafe, made the announcement on social media.
He had been running the venue for 14 months and said getting footfall into the cafe had been a struggle.
In a post on social media, Silly Goose wrote: "We can finally announce that in September Silly Goose will be taking over the Rum Story Cafe.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to be expanding our little business and at such a wonderful location too."
