Two men have been arrested after police were called to a brawl in Whitehaven

Police were called to New Street in Whitehaven on Sunday, June 9 after reports of fighting in the street. 

Two men were arrested and police said they would not tolerate such 'horrific behaviour' in Whitehaven.

A spokesperson for Copeland Police said: "PC2249, PC1932, PC2518 and officers from 4 Section responded to reports of males fighting in the street.

"Officers quickly arrived at the scene and arrested two males on suspicion of Affray. They remain in police custody whilst enquiries are ongoing.

"We take incidents of such disorder seriously and will not tolerate this horrific behaviour in our town."
