WHITEHAVEN Coastguard conducted their latest training session on the harbour.
The team was located at the site of the candlestick which overlooks the marina.
The coastguard explained that this training session looked at rope rescue and the different recovery methods that can be used.
A spokesperson said: "For this week's training, we revisited the fundamentals of Rope Operations, practicing various recovery methods for bringing one of our rope technicians back up the cliffs.
"Tonight's location provided us with a stunning panoramic backdrop of Whitehaven Harbour, with Workington Lifeboat making an appearance in the outer Harbour for their weekly training session."
