A MAN has been found guilty of making indecent images of children following a trial.
Lawrence Wilson, 36, had pleaded not guilty to the following offences:
- Making 22 Category A indecent images of a child (the most serious category of child abuse images)
- Making 56 Category C indecent images of a child
He was found guilty following a trial a Carlisle Crown Court last month.
The offences took place in Whitehaven between January 2020 and January 2021.
Wilson, of no fixed abode, was given a three-month jail term but avoided being put behind bars because of time already served.
He was also given a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
