Four-legged customers are going 'mutts' for the brand new menu at a much-loved village pub, including roast dinners for dogs, fish and chips and paw star 'martinis'.

If you have the most paw-some dog in the world, it's time to visit The Four Horseshoes in Nursling for an extra treat for your furry friend.

The award-winning pub has just launched its new dog menu and the extensive list of tasty treats, meals and drinks for hungry pooches has gone down a storm!

Thought to be one of the first pubs in the area to offer an extensive menu for dogs, to add to the experience, the meals are served in silver bowls to make our four-legged friends feel even more special.

Prices start from £1.75 for a Woof Bar, Paw Scratchies and Scampi Fries, going up to £3.20 for Bark Burger and  Bark Bangers.

For hungry dogs, main meals are £5.50 each and include a Roast Dinner and Fish and Chips.

To wash it all down there are also non-alcoholic dog cocktails on sale including a Bark Brew ‘Beer’ and Paw Star ‘Martini’ which is made from chicken and passion fruit.

Customers are ‘mutts’ about the new menu as regular customer Sarah Filmore, explains: “We thought it would be fun to try one and Callie loved it. It’s a treat for good behaviour while we are enjoying our meal.”

The new dog menu has gone so well that General Manager Adam Khalil is re-ordering some of the items already.

He said: “We have seen a lot of interest on social media and we know people love to treat their dogs, so we’ll be having to re-order more dishes very soon.

“The Four Horseshoes is well renowned for being a dog-friendly local pub so I’m not surprised it’s been a success. We also have a restaurant that is dog-free so we have the best of both worlds for customers!”

Because of its success, Romsey sister pub The Duke on The Test will also be offering the new dog menu.
