Coastguard urges people to stay safe during Storm Kathleen

WHITEHAVEN Coastguard has issued a warning for an upcoming storm. 

Storm Kathleen is set to arrive on Saturday, April 6, and members of the public are urged to be careful. 

The coastguard team in Whitehaven has taken to social media to urge people in the area to stay safe. 

A spokesperson said: "Storm Kathleen is due on Saturday, please follow the safety advice of the Met Office. 

"In a coastal emergency, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard."
