WORKINGTON and Derwent Inner Wheel group have recently been able to present cheques courtesy of their fundraising efforts to local charities.
As a result of a fundraising Christmas Fayre organised by Workington and Derwent Inner Wheel, group president Glynis Peacock was able to present cheques for £745 each to Samaritans of West Cumbria branch director, Karen Louden, and Andrea Carlton of West Cumbria Carers.
The Inner Wheel said: "Many thanks to Hunday Manor, the stall holders, Derwent Valley Band and all who contributed to a very successful event."
