NETWORK Rail has shared an update on the process of the derailed Northern train at Grange slowly being lifted back onto the tracks.
The engineers arrived on site with the crane at around 1.30pm yesterday (Monday, March 25). The work then started to get the Deva Victrix back on the line.

The front bogie of the second carriage, which is the frame that holds the wheels, had also been re-railed.
Network Rail said that they could only start work after an initial investigation was done by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch. Once the train is removed, the engineers will carry out repairs to the ground, install new ballast and lay new track.
Northern, the passenger rail operator for the Furness Line, said that disruption to services will be expected until April 8. A replacement bus between Lancaster and Barrow is in place.
The 5.08am service from Preston to Barrow derailed on Friday, March 22. Network Rail said that there was a void in the ground 150m away from the derailment site.
