PUPILS at a school were treated to a visit from two police dogs.
Officers visited Bransty Primary School in Whitehaven with their dogs Skye and Drake.
The children were given this opportunity as a reward for teaching their peers about road safety over the school term.
A spokesperson said: "This morning, the mini police officers from Bransty Primary School were treated to a visit from some very special four-legged friends. PDs Skye and Drake visited along with their handler PC Mann, and PCSO Fishpool.
"The visit was organised as a reward for the pupils' hard work this term in delivering road safety messages to their peers as part of the mini-police scheme that is currently being run at the school.
"It was explained to the pupils the vital role these dogs play from crowd control to searching for evidence and missing persons.
"They were then treated to a display by the dogs before getting to meet and pet PD Drake."
