FREEMASONS in Cumbria has donated a large sum of money to Blood Bikes Cumbria. 

The head of Cumbria Freemasons met with the Blood Bikes team in Cleator Moor to donate the cheque of £4,000. 

A spokesperson said: "Today the head of Cumbria Freemasons, Bill Bewley had the please of presenting another wonderful donation of £4,000 to Blood Bikes Cumbria the donation was match funded by the Masonic Charitable Foundation

"The Blood Bikes aim to provide a free out-of-hours, emergency transport service to the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, delivering blood samples, tissue samples, breast milk, medical records, surgical instruments, and other urgent items.

"A few years ago, we also bought/provided a motorbike for them to use, it was lovely that they brought it today."
