A NATURE talk is set to be held at The Gather this week.
The community venue in Ennerdale offers a range of activities and facilities including projects, classes, and a cafe.
As part of their ongoing 'Rooted in Nature - In Praise of Trees' project they will be hosting a talk on Thursday, February 22.
The talks are free to attend and everyone is welcome. It is hosted by Dr Mark Tilzey and is titled 'In Praise of Hedgerows in our Lakeland Landscape. The talk will begin at 1pm.
The talks are being held alongside an art project that was inspired by the sad news of the destruction of the Sycamore Gap tree.
June Pearson, a volunteer at The Gather, said: "Because there is such a public outcry, we felt like we wanted to honour that and do something that would potentially contribute to replanting, or some kind of tree-based project."
