THE BEACON museum has announced one of its first attractions of the year.
The Whitehaven-based Museum will be hosting a talk about the industrial history of the town.
Dave Banks and Mike McCrickard of West Cumbria Mines Research Group will be hosting the event on Tuesday, January 2 beginning at 7.30pm.
A spokesperson from The Beacon said: "If one of your New Year's Resolutions is to learn more about local history, might we recommend the Friends of the Beacon Museum's first talk of 2024 - 'Industries of Whitehaven and District in Days of Yore'."
All are welcome, with members entry costing £2 and visitors entry being £3.
