"As 2023 draws to a close, I would like to reflect on all the fantastic progress that has been made in Copeland.
"After much concern from the community we can celebrate the newly built Whitehaven Academy, a remarkable modern teaching facility, which will provide excellent, modern teaching facilities. I saw for myself recently the £130m worth of investment being carried out at our West Cumberland Hospital, which is due to completed next Spring.
"As we move into 2024, I will continue to work hard fight for Rolls-Royce Small Modular Reactors (SMR’s) to be constructed next to Sellafield.
"In the early New Year, I will host farmers events across Copeland. I am committed to aiding the farming community in navigating the new systems, and I shall negotiate for improvements where needed.
"May I conclude by wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful and healthy New Year."
