POLICE were called at 7.58am today (December 18) to the report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle on Egremont Road, Whitehaven.
The pedestrian a man in his 80s was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with serious injuries.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
