NORTH Cumbria Integrated Care has warned that they are experiencing high demand at their A&E departments.
This will affect those who use West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven as it is the main A&E department in West Cumbria.
People are advised to use other NHS services on offer like contacting 111 if possible.
A spokesperson said: "We are experiencing significant pressure at our A&E department. If your needs are not urgent then you will experience a significant wait.
"Please use NHS 111 online to get advice first. Please be kind to our staff they are trying their best and will make sure the sickest are seen first."
