LOWES Court Art Gallery in Egremont has announced its featured artists for December.

Featuring in December are paintings from Gosforth and District Art Society.

The group meets weekly in the Methodist Church in Seascale and has grown from strength to strength since Covid with thirty-three members.

A spokesperson said: "Some members have had individual pieces of work shown before at Lowes Court, but this is their first group display at the gallery as part of Lowes Court’s community programme.

"All members of the group have been invited to show one piece each.

"This year, an enthusiastic group of artists who paint in all media, held their annual summer exhibition at Gosforth village hall attracting record numbers and sales.

"For some participants, this is their first opportunity to exhibit in a dedicated gallery.

"Christmas at Lowes Court is always a colourful and happy time, filled with gift ideas all locally made and sourced from within Cumbria - arts and crafts, paintings, photographs, prints and cards by gallery artists, textiles, glassware, jewellery and wood."

The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 1.30pm until December 23.
