A COMMUNITY centre in Whitehaven will be hosting a range of events over the Christmas period.
Red Lonning Community Centre at Hensingham will be hosting a children's Christmas party and also an event for all the family to enjoy.
Allan Forster, a volunteer at the community centre, said: "On Saturday, December 1, we will have our Christmas event from 11am until 3pm, we'll have craft tables there, a treasure hunt and some other activities for the children to enjoy. There will also be a group there singing carols.
"We seem to be getting a lot of interest so far and the week later on December 9 we will be hosting a Christmas party which is already sold out.
"Father Christmas will be there and there'll be music on for the children. Every Monday now we also run a craft fair."
